On Sunday, David Ornstein of The Athletic revealed that Wolves are close to appointing Vitor Pereira as their new manager after paying Al Shabaab’s release clause. 

However, The Guardian reports that Wolves’ first choice is Potter, with the club having made an approach to the former Brighton boss last month but having been reject. 

Potter has not been in charge of a managerial role since parting ways with Chelsea in April 2023, and despite continued speculation, the Englishman has yet to accept an offer.
